Service terms
Important principles governing enquiries, scopes and project-support assignments.
Scope comes first
Website descriptions are general. The actual assignment, access, deliverables, exclusions, programme and commercial terms must be confirmed in writing before work begins.
Professional boundaries
A visual building-condition inspection does not constitute structural certification. Owner-side monitoring does not replace the contractor’s supervision, statutory responsibilities or contractual obligations. Regulated professional opinions are separate scopes.
Client information and access
The client is responsible for providing accurate project information, lawful access and relevant records. Changes or constraints may affect the scope, programme and fee.
Repairs, contractors and expenditure
No contractor, material or repair commitment is made without client approval and funding. Third-party work remains subject to the applicable agreement with that provider.
Use of outputs
Reports and records are prepared for the purpose and user stated in the agreed scope. They should not be repurposed for a materially different decision without review.
